Leo 911 Pro v1.7 (For Flash Drives and HD’s)
What is Leo 911?
- An OSX 10.5.7 Universal bootable disk image that can be copied to a 4 GB hard disk or Flash Drive. To make the OS small I had to delete a few things but the items deleted should NOT affect the performance or compatibility of Leo 911 v.s. OSX 10.5.7. Basically I turned off virtual memory and removed a bunch of non-vital files.
- Leo 911 Pro v1.5 is a mere 3.62 gigabytes unlike previous copies which were a few hundred megabytes more making it difficult to squeeze onto some Flash Drives. This time I squeezed all the tools onto a self-mounting disk image to save some space but you can still customize Leo 911 Pro by using your custom folder or the one I used called Applications Customized which already has DiskWarrior in it.
- My copy of OSX was fully up-to-date with all of the latest Apple OSX 10.5.7 updates and so is Leo 911.
- All of the software appears to be fully working and registered.
- For now this only comes in ENGLISH, but future releases may be multi-language.
- You might be pleasantly surprised at how many other programs you are capable of launching unlike older 911 DVD’s I created.
System Requirements:
From Mac with a G4 PowerPC processor right upto the newest Intel Mac’s, yes, even the new 2009 models including some future Xserve models!
Minimum memory can range from 256 MB’s right upto to anything your baby can handle
10.5 OSX is not usable on any Mac models below the G4 line, so no point in even trying this on a G3 or below.

Leo 911 Pro is NOT meant to be used as your daily OSX since it lacks the ability to clean up after itself like a normal 10.5 OSX would. You may need to replace Leo 911 Pro on whatever HD or Flash Drive you copied it onto every 1-6 months depending how often you used it.

More info and instructions available on the Leo 911 disk image, just mount it and double click the ” About Leo 911″ alias in the main folder.
You CANNOT hurt the disk image by mounting it, it is locked, and how do you think I can make it without mounting it.
Copy it to any read / write medium with Carbon Copy Cloner 3
The volume (partition) should be formatted as Apple Mac Partition and partitioned as HFS+ Extended non-journaled to make it Universal for both PowerPC and Intel Mac’s.
You will need BetterZip (use MacHacha or Split & Concat if your asked for a password with BetterZip) to rejoin the 15 segments into one file. There is NO password !
